Masferrer's Bird Room
We use Abba Cages similar to the DM423 model and Higgins RB-30 breeding cages in our bird room. We individually cage our bird to keep them in their best condition. We use fight cages for our young birds and when conditioning our hens for the breeding season. Once the young birds start displaying a male song we quickly move them to their own private cage. I try to avoid any unwanted stress or feather plucking to occur to our young birds. We strive to give our brood the opportunity to develop to their maximum potential.
The Bird Room's light is time controlled. We use “Vita-Lite” light Bulbs in our bird room. These light bulbs are full spectrum lights that reproduce the sun’s light. It helps the bird's production and absorption of vitamin D-3 and other vital vitamins and minerals. The room has two Ionic/Filter based air purifies to remove contaminates and feather dander produced by new feather grows.
